Who We Are

The Expungement campaign is a youth-led advocacy campaign. In the Spring 2012, youth organizers from Teens Leading the Way identified expungement as a key priority to help young people’s positive transition to adulthood and to prevent deeper entry into the legal system. The effort was bolstered by the national work of the Juvenile Law Center on record clearance, and the filing of the first juvenile expungement bill in 2013.

We are especially grateful for our youth organizing and legal partners who led and guided this multi-year campaign.
