Applying for Expungement

Greater Boston Legal Services has a series of self-help booklets on the sealing and expungement process.

Before applying for expungement, please review these tips first.

To download your application to expunge your record:

• Petition to expunge your record for an offense prior to age 21 here.

Please note that these forms must be downloaded to your computer and open in Adobe Reader. The forms will not open in a web browser.

If your petition for expungement is successful, your record will be permanently deleted, which means it will never be available again. It is advised that you make a certified copy of your record for your personal archives before you complete the expungement process.
