Children in Massachusetts can no longer be arrested in certain circumstances:
Offense that are no longer a crime, and therefore is eligible for expungement. Examples of these offenses include:
disturbing a school assembly
disorderly conduct by a student
a first-time low-level misdemeanor (such as trespassing)
a violation of a city or town law (such as breaking curfew or being in the park after dusk)
possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana
